Whether they are wrecks intentionally sunk to serve as an artificial reef for "aquatic creatures" and divers, or the result of an accident, wrecks are fascinating windows into the past. Ships, airplanes and even cars underwater are popular objects to explore and enjoy the creatures that have settled there. Each wreck offers multiple opportunities to discover something special, maybe even unravel a mystery surrounding the wreck, or spot something other divers may have missed. The PADI Wreck Diving specialty course is popular because it offers the diver a very special adventure; it goes without saying that responsible practices are learned and observed when diving wrecks.
